Enel Maritza East 3 welcomed the Bulgarian winners from the 2010 We Are Energy competition

10 children from the Stara Zagora region shared there summer experiences in the frame of the international competition dedicated to the Enel employee’s kids.

On August 17, 2010 Enel Maritza East 3 organized a welcome party for the children of the Enel Maritza East 3 TPP employees from the region of Stara Zagora, who represented Bulgaria in this year’s edition of the We Are Energy competition. The ten winners and their parents participated in the meeting at the “Library” restaurant in Stara Zagora together with the management of the company.

Bulgaria’s participants at the age between 8 and 17 were among the awarded, by the Enel’s Chairman of the Board of directors Piero Gnudi in Rome on July 28, 2010. The group consisted of 7 kids from Stara Zagora, two from Galabovo and one from Simeonovgrad.

The meeting allowed the kids to spend few more hours together in excited talks for their summer experiences. They shared their memories from the summer camp Castagneto Carducci near Livorno, where they spent 2 exciting weeks together with youths from different countries. One of the unforgettable experiences of the kids at the camp was their participation at the shooting of video clips with environmental subjects - “The Earth appeals for action,” which were presented in front of all guests during the party.

The children of the employees of Enel from the 23 countries where the company is represented could participate at the We Are Energy competition. This year’s edition is the sixth consecutive edition for Enel and the fourth for Bulgaria. 111 out of the 3400 youths, which joined the competition and shared ideas for improvement of the environment, were awarded.
